Rose and JD night incounter Pt.3

He took a sip of his mocha almost hiding the fact he just realized he might be feeling a bit flushed in the cheeks. He looked into her eyes as his heart beat faster. He felt like he could just fall into them into her. He blinked then shook his head slightly. "wow you have nice eyes" he said "Hu...I mean" thinking fast "I mean I am glad you like what I said and do know there is no commitment to going it is entirely up to you." JD said. thinking nice recovery I think. "So do you snowboard or ski?" he asked.

She almost thanked him again for the compliment about her eyes but he changed direction and she didn't want to draw attention to it if he didn't. Nodding to what he said about there being no commitment. "Ski. I tried snowboarding twice but I prefer skiing. I went on my first ski trip when I was five and fell in love with it." The more she spoke with him the more attracted to him she became. He was good looking but it was more than that that made him attractive to her. "How about you which do prefer; snowboarding or skiing?"

"I can do both but to show off I like snowboarding. Dove sei stato a sciare? I think I got that right. My Italian is not too good. pero mi español es mejor señorita Rose con hermosos ojos. but fluent in Spanish" said JD.

"Stai facendo bene" She told him he was doing fine with his Italian. "Mostly the New England area. We had one ski resort in Vermont we went to a lot. I've also been skiing in New York up near the Canadian border and Massachusettes." She paused for a moment as he says something in Spanish which was close enough in Italian that she got the idea if not the exact words. She felt her face go warm for a second. She looked down just long enough for the feeling to subside. "No se mucho español. There are some things between Spanish and Italian that are similar but not everything." She looked out over the lake before turning her attention back to him. "So, where have you gone snowboarding?"

He thought for a moment "Ah.... Sono andato a sciare in Germania, Svizzera, Spagna, Italia e qui in California." he said in Italian. "Mostly in California. they have some good runs here. My mom had to teach me Italian and Spanish so I could talk to my grandparent's aunts and uncles. not that they talk to me much. said JD he took a bigger drink of his mocha. "I never thought I would find someone to speak Italian with and your pronunciation is good too. better than mine. You would make me look bad in front of my mom" he said jokingly.

"If you want I know a little place downtown that has Italian ice cream. If you would like to go I can take you there sometime. they have authentic affogato." JD offered.

"When I've traveled to Italy it was never to one of the areas that had skiing but I'd like to do that sometime and Switzerland." She thought for a moment. "Ho sentito che la California ha grandi piste" Rose breathed a laugh. "Well, I rarely find people to speak Italian with as well. My brother and I used to have entire conversations in Italian. I think that those conversations, all the trips to Italy and starting Italian lessons at 4 really helped." Her eyes lit up a little when he mentioned a place in town with the Italian dessert made with ice cream and coffee. "I was here half of last year; how did I miss that place? Mi piacerebbe andarci qualche volta."

"Cool, Non vedo l'ora di prenderti tra le mie mani. Ah.... Non vedo l'ora di prenderti per mano e portarti lì. I mean, Non vedo l'ora di portarti lì." JD said turning a little red. "It's funny how things don't translate right or you use the wrong words?" sounding apologetic.

She smiled at his attempt. "It's fine. It's sometimes hard to say what you want when you're not fluent in the language." Not that she would mind holding his hand but it might have been a little soon for that. Rose wasn't one to rush anything; if anything she could be overly cautious at times. She finished the last of her coffee and threw her cup in the trash. "Have you been to the bridge?" They weren't that far from it and from it was the best view of the lake.

"No, not yet " he answered then downed the last of his Mocha then throw his cup towards the trash it hit the rim and barely bounced in. "Now that's why I don't play basketball " he said with a light laugh. Then it dawned on him she just said she would hold my hand in time? I must be doing somthing right. But she is so cool great looks wealthy she could have any guy she wants. To be anywhere she wants. But she here with me a small-time guy. Is there somthing I am missing is someone going to jump out of a bush and say the joke is on me. With the way I am starting to feel I hope not, he thought to himself. "So, al ponte?" he said in Italian with a smile. He thought he could walk with her all night.

It was a footbridge, designed out of wood with metal underneath to keep the structure more sound. Once on the bridge they could feel the evening breeze. It wasn't cold but just a hint of coolness that refreshed the air.
They got towards the middle of the bridge. Rose walked towards the railings on the right it was easy to see a few metal key locks that hung off of the wood pieces. Rose looked out over the water; from here the view was good enough to see to the shoreline. "The sunsets and sunrises from here are beautiful." It clearly wasn't the time of day for sunrises and they just were a little early for the sunset. "I like to come here sometimes to get inspired for my art work. Do you want to see a painting I did of this place?" After all, she had heard him perform during music class the first day. It only seemed fair.

"That would be great" he replied. He inheld some air and letting it out slowly. "I like water. I like the ocean even more I like the fact I can smell the ocean from here" he said with a smile. "I grew up on the beach most of my life I could not imagine not living by the beach." He said looking over the water then at Rose. The water reflecting the moon the soft light caressing her face. Every feature of her face being highlighted by it. JD could feel his face blushing again. He quickly looked down at the water. "Do you like the Beach and water?" asked JD.

Rose pulled out her phone and once again started scrolling. She then showed him the picture of her painting. It was an oil painting of the lake, maybe some added greenery and trees. "I took a little artistic license with how the lake actually looks." The sea air was nice. "Yes. I love the beach. My families estate leads to a private beach on the ocean but Long Island is very different than here." The beaches and ocean were certainly different. "It is far too cold to go into the water there by late September. We have a trail that leads there that I like taking Midnight on and then running him on the beach. He loves it." Rose always mentioned her families estate as just that. It was never referred to as her home despite the fact that it was, technically, the place that she grew up. It was always said as a matter of fact never snobbish. She didn't even, realize, she did that but to say it was her home felt weird and not what it was.

"The house we have now has a path to the beach. We can go there some time if you want. It is a private beach per say four houses share the beach area. My mom collects paintings and photographs. I don't know much about them to be honest. but people say she has a good collection." replied JD. He looked at her again taking a step back leaning on the railing. and taking a full view of her in the light. "you're panting you are doing that is here? The painting looks great. Maybe one day you could do one for my mom I think she would love that I think." JD said.

"Yes. I'd like to go there." She nodded when he talked about his Mom's collection. "Yes. It's here. I did it last year for art class. I don't usually do landscapes." He seemed to like it. "Thanks." She really hadn't done much art for other people in a few years but she didn't mind doing it for people are knew. "Maybe, I could do that. I'd like to see your Mom's collection sometime."

"I do know she likes people in setting like walking in a park or in vena. and as for coming over I just have to set it up with my parents. Right now the only person that can just dop in is Conner he is lake part of the family now. he use to joke when he comes over to go to the beach he would open the door and yell, I am home mom, that made me laugh, and my sister would run up to him and give him a hug and say, Brother, it was fun times in the summer." he said all most laughing.

Rose laughed a little at the thought of Conner doing that but with as little as she knew of Conner that didn't surprise her either. Her own parents weren't like that at all but it didn't mean she didn't know families who were. "Sam's parents are like that with me. I think I could show up there anytime and they'd welcome me." Sam's parents lived several states away but it didn't make it less true.

Something is special about Rose JD knew this. He normally did not open up like this right away. He kept wondering what is it that made it so easy to talk to her. His mind flashing thoughts of holding her hand or softly kissing her and holding her in his arms. He had girlfriends before and even from other countries who are more liberal than American girls. But he has not felt like this just meeting a girl. this was starting to make him a bit nervous. "that is good that you have a friend like Sam I think we all need that one good friend." said JD trying to hide his nervousness.
