Like Flying (Part Eight)

Sunday Afternoon Beach Party

The date with JD, Rose, Conner and Kaylee continued.

JP with Redsword and Cindy

The first time in the simulator was great but this time was far beyond amazing. Rose felt so much more secure in there dancing with JD than she had before that she could just relax.

She still didn’t have the right words for the feeling. Everything with JD just felt right.

Kaylee watched this. She was quietly amazed by the natural connection JD and Rose just seemed to have.

Why didn't Conner think of that? That was a good question but Kaylee was pretty sure she knew the answer. He hadn't thought of it because they weren't near the place that JD and Rose were. They were on a date, not a couple, and while part of her hoped it would happen; she had just resigned herself to the fact it might not.

Did they even have extra time or was that just a JD and Rose thing? In reality, there was probably nothing stopping Conner from asking her to go into the tunnel with him. Nothing stopping Conner but Conner.

Conner was not going to be outdone by JD. He could not get that guy to do anything like this in the summer. No matter if the girls were throwing them selfs at him. In a week, here he is with a girl floating in the air looking all in love. A crowd was building around the air tunnel. The women whispering to one other and the guys with a little envy in their eyes. Once again, you made all of us guys look bad, thought Conner. He looked at Kaylee again then at the ground. Conner walks over to one of the instructors they talk for a moment the instructor shrugs and walks off. Conner walks over to Kaylee. and puts his arm around her. As the wind tunnel stops slowly and JD and Rose float to the ground. They walk out. Some clap others just stare at them. JD looked like the happiest man alive.

The instructor Conner talk with came back and gave a nod to Conner. Looking at Kaylee; Conner gave a charming smile, "think we can outdo them?" He asked her. "Let's go and try." He said leading her to the tunnel.
