Nectar Of The Gods

Blossom hesitated, fought with herself, then quietly spoke without rolling over. "You okay? Is your eye hurting? Do you have a headache?"
Jocelyn grimaced a bit. "Yeah fine, just taking my medications." she said. "Don't worry about it." she added, "I won't say anymore than, it helps me get through the day." Jocelyn added, "I'm gonna get breakfast." she said, grabbing her clothes and going to the showers, seemingly just to changes. Only popping in far enough on her way back by to throw her clothes on her bed and headed down to the quad. She'd seen a coffee and hot coco guy yesterday, maybe he'd be around in the morning to.
She did eventually find the man, getting a hot coco and finding a bench in the quad to sit on. She'd usually just plop down in the grass but a stain on her uniform the first day would get her in trouble, and it was also still covered in dew.
"I wish they'd roomed me alone like I begged." she thought. "Well, I hope she can keep a secret."

Jack: If I don't unwind like this...…………… I will end up in the principle's office.

Sam shook her head. "Nope." With a that's it, no arguments way about it.
Rose actually liked that someone was that concerned about her but she didn't want to hold the other girl back. She figured the slight mother hen Sam had going would die down after a few weeks, anyway.
They started to catch up to the guys in front of them enough they could tell their was some talking going on but not close enough to make out what was being said.
Sam then spoke up. "Just think. This then coffee."
Rose laughed slightly. Sam practically lived on coffee. "Oh, that does sound worth it."

As Jack and JD were passing Rose and Sam he heard her say coffee and Jack started to crave a cup now. Coffee was something he found took the edge off his stress other than exercise. He wasn't to keen on soda due to the high sugar but coffee was like the nectar of the gods to him. It was as if god put coffee on earth to help people relax and forget about their worries. Without thinking he spoke his thoughts.

Jack: Oh man coffee sounds good right now.

After a few more laps around the track Jack was done with his work out and walked to the quad so he could enter the building through the cafeteria. Along the way he caught the scent of an all to familiar smell. A natural smile came across his face, which was a rare occurrence these days with his life going a different direction since Ashley came back. It was the intoxicating aroma of the roasted coffee bean being brewed in to his favorite beverage known as coffee. Out of instinct his body followed the aroma of coffee to the quad where he saw a portable cart with a coffee brewing kit on it.

He had seen carts like this before, since his mom loved coffee as well. On the coffee cart he saw a few different coffee dispensers, various creamers and flavorings as well as various sweeteners. He felt like a kid in the candy store as he picked out the coffee flavor he wanted and added his cream and sweetener. Then he took a deep whiff of the coffee and smiled as his troubles melted away. The first sip was hot but relaxing at the same time. His troubles and stress melted away from the combination of adrenaline and endorphins mixing with caffeine.

A minute later he opened his eyes and sighed as he found a bench to sit on before taking a second sip. He was hoping the last two days were but a dream but sadly they were very real. His only solace was that he wouldn't have to be in the same classes as Ashley. He believed since he was not doing cheerleading and gymnastics it would give them a different schedule. This put his mind at ease as he slowly sipped his coffee and relaxed.
