Like Flying (Part Four)

Sunday Afternoon Beach Party

The date with JD, Rose, Conner and Kaylee continued.

JP with Redsword and Cindy

During their lunch JD, besides giving attention to Rose, and having a good time, talks about what they will encounter at the skydiving simulator. They finished their food and left Huhot walked back to Conners car and drove to the other side of the mall. There was a two-story building at the far corner of the mall parking lot. JD was visibly excited and hyped up. A side of him most don't see. he normally comes across as calm and focused, unless around Rose then not so much. Conner thought as they got out of the car. JD put his arm around Rose and gave her a kiss "this will be fun." he commented. Conner smiled putting his arm around Kaylee. "I am sure it will be," says Conner.

Kaylee was excited to try out the simulator. Actually, this kind of thing, things that got the adrenaline pumping, was right in the list of things she loved.

Rose was a little more apprehensive about it. She wanted to do it but was still getting used to her resolve to try new things and things, like this, were about as outside of what she normally did as she could think of; at the moment. She, though, was happy to see how excited JD was.

They entered through the doors and went up to a check-in desk where they each signed in.

They walk up to the desk the woman and man ask if they had been in there to the Indoor Skydiving Simulator before? JD, Rose, Conner, and Kaylee answered no. They preceded to tell them the cost of 70 dollars and paperwork. They had to do some extra work to get permission. They started to ask for ID, JD pulled out his military-dependent ID card, and then a laminated card showing it to the guy behind the desk. The man's eyes widen, "Really? at your age? Your dad is a Master Chief, nice. Well, you can skip the lessons if you want. But you still have to do all the safety stuff." He said to JD with a smile. "Thank you," said JD. The man went to the back with all of their paperwork and started to enter it into the computer. The women started making copies of the IDs.

Conner raised an eyebrow. "JD, what’s that about. Just because you are a military brat?" JD looked at Conner. "No, I am skydiving qualified already. Got my license this year," replies JD. Conner let out a chuckle, "Are you sure you are not being trained for the CIA?" Conner said jokingly.
