What an evening Pt2

JP with Redsword and Cindy
(Conners Minon night)

Conner heard Matt's voice the place was not too busy yet. Conner glanced over to the Voce he saw Kaylee and Matt standing in line about to get seated. Conner chuckled. "what are the chances? Courtney, do you want to be just me or do you want to be with Matt and Kaylee too?" he asked.

A slight smile crossed Courtney's face. "Well, I don't think I would ever say no to Matt sitting near me. But I think the question is more do you want Kaylee to sit here?"

Of course, Matt and Kaylee could always have their own ideas but Courtney doubted once the show got started with the Chef there would be much talking anyway.

Conner smiled "OK then" he answered. he gave a slight whistle and waved Matt over. "besides do you think I could turn down Kaylee looking like that. Not that you don't look hot but it's not the same." said Conner looking in their direction.

Courtney grinned, "Yeah, I get it."

Matt and Kaylee heard the whistle. Matt turned to Kaylee but before he could even ask, Kaylee smiled at her brother. "BIen sûr je veux m'asseoir avec eux." (Of course, I want to sit with them.)

He returned the smile and led his sister to where Conner and Courtney were sitting.

Matt said to Conner and Courtney, "Great minds?"

Courtney explained, "Well, I didn't know I was coming here."

Kaylee commented, "Neither did I. "

Courtney then added with a smile, "So, I guess we'll give this great minds to both of you." Meaning Matt and Conner. "Would you two like you to join us?"

Matt, "Yes, we would."

Kaylee slipped into the seat next to Conner and Matt took the seat next to Courtney. So, the seating was Kaylee, Conner, Courtney, then Matt. Kaylee and Matt were handed menus.

Kaylee saw the menus in front of Conner and Courtney. And asked Conner, "Have you been here before?"

"A few times I knew of the place but did not come here until this summer. it was JD's family and mine. hay Matt I would think this was a setup but we had no idea." He looked her over now that she was even closer. his eyes wandered across her body. then he realized how that must of looked. He looked back at the menu. You look ah... beautiful tonight. Have you been here before Kaylee?" Conner asked.

"It does almost seem like it." Matt commented. Of course, it couldn't have been a setup but it just an interesting coincidence.

Kaylee smiled at the compliment and the once-over he gave her. "Merci. You look very nice, yourself." He was so attractive and she had wanted to say something else but this wasn't the place for that. She shook her head. "No, I've actually never been to a Japanese Steakhouse before. Are there any dishes you recommend?"

Matt said to Courtney, "You look amazing." He had been busy checking out Courtney and hadn't noticed Conner checking out his sister.

"Thank you, " Courtney smiled, then lowered her voice a bit, "You look great.

Matt responded with a "Thank you."

"I like to start out with Harumaki, they do serve a salad and soup here with the dinner they are also excellent. my main is Geisha delight with fried rice," he said looking back at her. Conner was having a hard time keeping his eyes off of her.

Kaylee glanced at him before looking at her menu to find the dishes he was referring to. "Those do look good."

Matt asked Courtney, "Have you been here before?"

Courtney responded with a "No, you?"

Matt really was having a hard time keeping his mind on anything but Courtney and Courtney in that dress. "Me? Oh, uh no."

Courtney let her hand reach Matt's under the table and their fingers intertwined before she said, not extremely loud but loud enough for Conner and Kaylee to also hear, "So, I guess Conner's the expert."

Courtney looked at the menu. "How's the Shuman? I think I said that right?"

The appetizer with the shrimp stuffed in a crispy shell and served with a light soy vinegarette seemed like it would be good.

Kaylee then had a thought, "If its ok with everyone maybe we should all order a different appetizer and then we can share them and try a variety of them." Probably, it came as no surprise Kaylee was adventurous with her food, as well.

Conner started to say looking at Kaylee "what I want is not on the...." Conner paused. "sound like a great idea. What do you think Matt and Courtney?" he asked.

Kaylee looked at Conner and a soft grin came to her she heard the first part of his statement. Damn, if he hadn't managed to dissolve any bad feelings she had about what had happened at pizza last night.

Matt and Courtney had gotten distracted with each other.

Courtney responded, "It sounds good to me."

Matt added, "Sure. Works for me."

Courtney decided on her initial choice of the Shuman. Matt chose Yakitori. He chooses steak, chicken, and shrimp for the cabobs. Kaylee figured she'd leave the Harumaki to Conner and choose the Wantons Ichiban.

Their drinks came and the waiter took their appetizer offer before heading off.

Kaylee glanced down at her brother and Courtney who seemed to be enamored with each other. She smiled at Conner and said, "I think we might have lost them for the moment." She lowered her voice so only Conner could hear, "Je me demande presque ce qu'on pourrait faire sans qu'ils s'en aperçoivent." (I'm almost wondering what we could do without them noticing. ) She winked at him and hope he understood all of that.

Matt held Courtney's hand and was too distracted by her in that dress to really focus on anything or anyone else. "This might not have been planned but I'm really glad we ended up at the same place."

Courtney smiled softly, "So, am I."

Conner did not get all the words she had said. Being around her showed him how much he did not know french. but he could figure out what she was saying. Her eyes said a lot too. "oui, je te veux" (yes, want you) he replied whispering in a seductive tone. He was not sure how that came out as. He leaned over and kissed her and his hand ended up on her thigh He was not even thinking about it as he kissed her. As their lips met he could think of nothing else but her.

Matt leaned closer to Courtney; and then his lips find their way to hers. Courtney had wanted this she spotted him at the restaurant. They let themselves just go into a long kiss. Whatever was happening at the other end they had no idea.

A smile crossed Kaylee's lips as Conner spoke and a tingle ran up her spine as he whispered in her ear. Then he kissed her. She hadn't expected it but she was more than willing to return it. She felt his hand on her thigh and she wanted that as well. His lips on hers, touching her. She felt herself lean in a little more giving herself to the moment.

Conner realized his position and the place they were at he wanted to keep kissing her and after a minute of passion, he lined back just enough for their lips to be barely touching. "wow, this is turning out better." He whispered in her ear blowing slightly. Then kissed her ear.

A grin fell across Kaylee's lips as Conner spoke and blew into her ear. "It's definitely a really great coincidence." She quietly responded.

Matt and Courtney broke their kiss and leaned back some.

Courtney caught her breath, "I wasn't expecting that either."

Matt smiled, "Maybe we can continue it later?"

Courtney smiled back, "I'd like that."

Their appetizers arrived and the waiter asked if they wanted to order dinner.

Courtney looked over at Kaylee and Conner and had a definite feeling she spoke for at least the people who were new to the restaurant. "I think we might need just a few more minutes."

The waiter said, "very good ." And left with them to decide on entrées.

Conner looked at the menu one more time then whispered to Kaylee turning the menu making it look like she was going to show her something. "He looked into her eyes with a charming smile. "I have seen what I want to eat," he whispered to Kaylee. "Are there any other questions?" he asked everyone.

Kaylee held back a smile and took a breath. She really needed to get her mind on ordering food. "Have you had the Korean Beef Hibachi?"

Courtney and Matt looked over the menus.

Matt decided the jumbo shrimp and rib-eye was he wanted.

Courtney decided on the salmon. Neither had questions they had just decided if they were at a place with a hibachi chef they might as well order hibachi food.

Conner "Never has that but I bet it is good I always get the Hibachi Combination shrimp, chicken, steak. with fried rice and Mushroom Soup. But I will try the Korean Beef Hibachi if you do." said Conner as the waitress walks up "are you ready to order?" she askes.

"Yes," Kaylee responds, "I'll have the Korean Beef Hibachi." The waitress asked for soup or salad and Kaylee went with the salad with a sesame poppy seed dressing.
Courtney got her meal also with a salad with a gingerbread
Matt ordered his meal and went with the mushroom soup

Conner was the last one to order "I'll have the Korean Beef Hibachi as well." Miso Soup and House Salad with Ranch dressing." Conner requested.

The waitress smiled and said "Great chooses," she read back all the orders. Then smiled "your soup and salads will be out shortly and your chef will be with you shortly." she said then walked to the back.

When the waitress left with their dinner orders. The appetizers started to be passed around so everybody could try some. The appetizers were really good and it was a good sign for the dinner which awaited them.

Kaylee didn't really know why but Conner seemed to have the ability to charm her completely and totally. It wasn't just the flirting; of course, she liked that but this was more. It was just Conner. Two words or a look from him and the rest of the world seemed to fade into the background if for a moment.

Kaylee had dated guys before but everything with Conner was just different. She slid her body a bit closer to him. And positioned her legs under the table, Conner still had his hand on her thigh but this made it a little easier, considering where they were and with the chef about to come out.

Matt and Courtney became once again engrossed in their own conversation. They couldn't keep their eyes off each other. Matt kept whispering things in her ear that Courtney grinned at.

Courtney was starting to wonder who was really leaving with who. As Kaylee and Conner seemed to be getting along as well.

Feeling the warmth of her thigh the touch of her skin was almost too much he tried to play it off as casual. Conner was having a hard time keeping his composer. her in that dress and his hand on her thigh made his mind have flashes of fantasies of things he would like to have happened between them. he had never got this way before heart racing he almost started to sweat. He took a deep breath and took a drink of his tea and refocused. On the food in front of him trying to push the thoughts from his head. "I hope you like the chef and the show they put on. it really good here," he said trying to relax.

Kaylee was having a hard time with maintaining her own focus. Her mind might have wandered a bit as well. She nodded, "It sounds fun."

Matt and Courtney were sitting closer to each other and his arm was around her back now.

Courtney was trying to eat but Matt kept distracting her with a movement or something whispered in her ear.

Matt was just as distracted as she was.

Their salads and soups arrived and, they were given refills on their drinks.

Conner was eating his salad now and still had his other hand on Kaylee's thigh. he subconsciously started to squeeze her thigh now and then. "So, what are you doing after this? You and your brother have plans?" asked Conner.

Kaylee ate her thigh being squeezed, occasionally as she tried to eat her salad. "We hadn't talked about it." She responded honestly. Kaylee looked down the other end of their group to see Matt lean close to Courtney and Courtney smile. She turned back to Conner and said quietly. "I think if you have ideas, well, those two might be more than willing to change plans." Clearly meaning Courtney and Matt. "Did you and Courtney have plans after this?"

"I had an Idea for coffee and maybe dessert at a cafe. who can turn that down," he said with a mischievous smile.

"Hmm ...that idea is pretty irresistible." She grinned slightly and gave him a wink. "Maybe, we should talk to those two about it.." Nodding towards Courtney and Matt. It didn't really matter if Conner meant just him and Kaylee or all four of them or really whatever combo he meant; it should still probably be mentioned to the other two sitting with them.

"I will during the time we eat dinner. Though, this menu looks much more appetizing. I think I could nibble all night." He says looking into her eyes.

Kaylee bit her bottom lip and had to take a breath to calm down. She found him so irresistible; getting through the rest of dinner was going to be interesting.

Matt and Courtney had been pretty much flirting with each other the entire time. Their relationship has taken a turn last night, after pizza, they had spent time waking and ended up finding themselves alone. They had started kissing. Deep passionate kisses which neither of them could resist. It has changed things, for the better, for the two of them. So, now Courtney was very close to making a decision about them. One she'd probably make tonight.

The Chef walks up rolling a cart with uncooked food and cooked rice on it. The chef looks of Asian descent and gives everyone a warm smile. As he turns on the Hibachi. He introduces himself and gets some of the stuff ready. He asks if this was a special occasion or just out on the town. Conner gets an evil smile. he was planning to do this anyways. "Yes sir, it's Courtney's birthday that beautiful woman there he motions to Courtney. The chef cheers and starts the entertainment. focusing on Courtney first.

Courtney heard her name and then birthday. Conner hadn't just done that to her, never mind, of course, he had. She shot Conner a look but then smiled and played along.

"Happy Birthday." The chef called out, loud enough for people to turn and look at Courtney. "And did you get a good gift from this gentleman?" The Chef was referring to Matt who he clearly thought, and for good reason, was her boyfriend or well...

"Oh, I don't know yet. He said it was a surprise for later." Courtney responded.

The chef sharpened two knives together and started chopping some vegetables up. As he did this he kept talking. "Let me guess the birthday lady is having," As he looked over the tickets "The salmon"

"Yes," Courtney responded.

The chef moved quickly chopping and putting the salmon on the grill. Then he spoke to Matt, "And "the will have present for you later man" you are having. The jumbo shrimp." The chef was clearly just having fun with them as he continued to move quickly to chop and turn things on the grill.

Matt responded with, "Yes,"

The chef then turned the Conner and Kaylee, "Korean Beef for both." Once they acknowledged he was correct. The chef turned his voice jokingly mysterious, "So, am I psychic? Or is Asami just a great waitress? You decide." He continued to cook and put on a show.

there was an older couple on the other side of Matt and Courtney they looked to be in great health in their late 70's. the older lady leaned over and said "happy birthday young lady." the man with her smiled "good day to have a birthday. It is our fifty-second wedding anniversary today." he said.

Conner "wow, graduation sir, ma'am I hope when I get married I make it last that long." He commented.

The old man looked Conner and Kaylee over. "If you are going to marry that beautiful girl beside you I would not let that one go. Of course, she is not like my Mary here but still, you two make a great couple."

His wife gently slaps his hand "Glenn be nice." she said with a smile. she looked at Matt and Courtney. "you guys make an adorable couple too. Youn love." he said with a smile to them.

"Thank you, ma'am," Courtney replied.

The "Congratulations" was accidentally said at the same time by both Courtney and Matt. Who looked at each other and laughed a little.

Kaylee gave her own "Congratulations" to the older couple.

Marry? Did that man say marry? But she and Conner weren't a couple. She wasn't even sure they would ever be but here she was flirting with him, his hand on her thigh and....oh, maybe she should ...what exactly? She looked at Conner and then, when she got a chance, into his eyes and once again lost any resolve she had regarding him. None of this showed instead she just smiled at the older couple and thanked them.

"Thank you, " Matt said and Courtney nodded to acknowledge the older couple's comment.

Matt then asked Mary and Glenn, "52 years is amazing. So, what's your secret."

Glenn chuckled and pointed at Mary, "She's always right. Even when she's not."

Mary shook her head, "Oh, Glen. The real secret is to really listen to each other and never stop communicating."

Glen then added, " See I told you she was always right."
