The Best Kind of Surprises

Joey looked good, really good, actually and it was not lost on Sadie. She wanted to escape the dance with him and take him someplace far more private.

The girl didn't care about Charlie sitting with them but was far too into Joey to pay any attention to the other boy.

For now, his words would have to do, well, words and one other thing.

"Dance with me," Whispering the order in Joey's ear.

Kyle smiled and said he thought Justin looked good, as well. Which the other boy did. They were having a nice time but Kyle didn't expect what Justin said next.

Dance with him. It was the kind of surprise that should come wrapped with a bow, in silver wrapping - it was that good.

Kyle's smile widened, "Of course."

He took Justin by the hand and led him to the dance floor.

Blossom looked beautiful, and Carter complimented her, telling the girl that. His eyes weren't looking elsewhere so he barely noticed the other two girls who had been waiting for them.

Carter's attraction to Blossom went beyond the aesthetic. Blossom was a sweet, nice girl, maybe even assuming could be used to describe her. It made her interesting and unique in a way that made him want to get to know her better.

Knowing it was, likely, her first semi-formal, Carter had wanted it to be special. It was perhaps a bit soon for anything like jewelry, but a corsage would work.

Carter handed Blossom the box, with the wrist corsage. It had taken finding out what color she'd be wearing but he had managed to match her dress. He just hoped Blossom liked it.

They arrived at the dance a while later, sat down and Carter and Blossom were conversing about their day and other things, people were getting up to dance and Carter looked at Blossom.

"Would you like to dance?" Was he actually nervous about it?
