Out of the Frying Pan.

"Alex?!" Jade asked, banging on the door that the 'disabled' Seymour had been pushed through. Prehaps a touch too much concern in her voice.

"Yeah, yeah. It's all good back here. Smells like vomit though. I'll get the door open. Hold your horses." He grumbled. It sounded like he had fallen on the floor from where his voice came from behind the door.

"YES!" he calmed down a little. "As I was saying, yes, the hologram had taken over the ship...kind of. The others are all still trapped in this maze of his, or, should I say, DEATHTRAP!"

"Oh." Yasmin paused. "So, what should we do just now?"

"Oh, I don't know. Perhaps actually...GO AND RESCUE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yasmin stared at him, just a teeny bitty gobsmacked, before leisurely saying,

"Well, okay, but I was actually thinking more of having some more wine."

"Sounds like you've got it covered in there." Jade sniggered. "Don't take too long ok. People are going to start doing crazy things."

Looking around at the ragtag bunch, dirty, scratched and bruised. Some sporting wicked broken bones, and all looking like space bum's now they were back on the Dwarf and not in the jungle. Various states of loin cloth, tattered smelly uniform and other delightful clothing really was not great to see.

"I'll do this insane course with you since you are totally serious." Then Jaxx looked at the monitor with Justin's face on it and smiled, "Yo floating head dude I don't know what your damage is bro, but if ya hurt my friend Eve babe here. I'll eat this here Bee thing along with a barrel of the Doc's homemade curry. Can you dig that ghost boy?" Then Jaxx and Evelina continued the insane obstacle course.

"You see what I mean..." She mumbled, sighing slightly Jade rubbed her temples at the potential list of horific injuires they could recieve and her lack of any decent medical facility close by. Lacerrations, fractures, burns. She grimaced and looked away, catching Jay in the corner of one eye. She noticed sweat streaks on Jay's face, which was contorted in pain, he obviously didn't think anyone was watching.

"Captain Chyrsler, are you ok?" She asked, aproaching him cautiously.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He said, through gritted teeth. He turned away from her. "Leave it alone Doc." She put her hand on his arm to turn him around and look into his eyes. Jade sucked in air in shock, a little gasping sound. His skin was burning with fever, like someone had run him under a hot tap in the Sahara, and left him to roast by a plasma fire.

"You're on fire Jay, you need to sit down. You must have a fever, did you eat anything funny on the planet? Did you get stung by any insects?" Medical concern now in her voice, beginning to perform a visual inspection of her patient. Casting her gaze about his body looking for swolen bites or infected wounds.

"I told you I'm fine!" He said, again through gritted teeth, the sweating now pronounced, his eyes oddly dilated. His outburst had caused a few looks from the non suicidal crew. As she looked, the black, bruised eyes from the fights against the Haruk began to fade, the scratches from the clinging jungle growth began to scab over and heal.

"What on Earth?" Jade whispered, peering closer to him. She watched the miricle happen in front of her eyes, almost not believing it.

"Leave me alone!" He grunted, pushing the Doctor away. She stumbled backwards, angry at the gesture when she was supposed to be helping. He wanted to see the crew safe, but was in no fit state to do so.

"You obviously aren't fit for duty. Don't make me order you Captain. I can relieve you of duty." Jade growled, now concerend for the mental capacity of Jay.

"I told you. It'll pass. I'm... Fine..." He stood up as if to proove his point and wobbled ominously. Katrina jumped to him and stood under one arm, keeping him up.

"Do something!" She begged. "It's the nanophage! It's activated again now we are out of the EM field." His wife fussed over him and the little boy near by began to cry, seeing his Mum and Dad both so worried.

"I'll... Be ok." He was now gasping, as if breathing was getting harder and harder. Almost as if his body was slowly shutting down. Unknown to the Doc, that was exactly what was happening, as the tiny machines rebelled against their host.

"Right. That's it. By the power vested in me as a Doctor on board this vessle, Captain Chrysler you are temporarilly removed from command pending medical investigations." She turned to the giant hamster "I believe this makes you in charge now Captain Wolf? I need to get him to a medical bay. I believe that Dr Keto's training facility exactly mirrors the actual medical bay? It shouldn't be too far to go, given that Dr Keto selfishly ejected the real medi-bay." She scowled thinking of her old boss. She then scowled at the thought that after 3,000,000 years, he would potentially be beyond decomposed dust. The thought frightened her that all she knew before was gone. All of it. It had seemed distant and not realy until she was back here and saw the evoled Lizzard creature.

"Help!" Katrina squeaked as Jay made a moaning sound and sank to the floor.
