Ess Ee Ex

Oh, wow. So much oh wow. The bullies, the cliques that seemed as solid as old winter snow that was compacted and frozen into ice, and Jocelyn talking like - well Blossom didn't like to judge, she let the aitch se double hockeysticks go but then Jocelyn just dropped the f bomb and talked about ess ee ex all in one sentence. Wow.

She seemed so nice though! And she liked to cook and bake, Blossom just knew they could have had a fun time making grilled cheeses together and finding out how they each did it different and spend hours laughing and trying each others' food out, maybe with some friends too. Just, Jocelyn's Big City mouth and ways worried the small town freshman. Torn between pity for whatever caused the black eye, worry about Jocelyn's morals, and trying not to feel bad about being church lady judgy, Blossom fell silent and, after a moment, took her tray and left the table without saying anything. She put the apple into her backpack, no need to waste food that wouldn't spoil, and dumped the rest of her meal into one of the big rolly grey cans.

The freshmen cheerleaders were all going to have uniform fittings this afternoon and she headed out to meet them. Blossom kept telling herself that this was a great opportunity.
