Unconventional Tactics

With a tilt of his head, Jin'Lor chuckled. "Jin'Lor Venneroe, just a lowly geneticist." He stated with sarcasm in his tone that said he was lying. Lightning snapped out around him from the knives in his hands as he twirled them lightly. "What's a tough lady like you want with a frozen planet like this?"

Liden didn't move, except for crossing her arms. "Secrets that I hope can be of great benefit to me... and the galaxy... And given your occupation I believe I may have found the man I was looking for. I would like to offer you a position as my chief researcher where you will be given access to..." She looked around at the frozen wastes. "...more suitable accommodations for a man of your genius. And any resources I can provide you that are at my disposal. My hope is that you will provide me the means to create near-invincible soldiers like that... creature you no doubt created. Quite impressive, by the way. It takes a lot to give a Grand Inquisitor so much trouble..."

She genuinely hoped this man, insane and untrustworthy though he may be, would accept her offer. The knowledge he had could prove useful.

It could save the galaxy in fact.

"Mistress." Came a call over the comms. "We have located the fugitives. They are attempting to escape."

Liden looked to Jin'Lor. "Looks like our pets are trying to flee..." She offered him her hand. "Shall we?"

Mar already had his lightsaber ignited as the sound of heavy blaster fire filled the landing bay. Rowan's ship was already blasting away several storm troopers, however these troopers he recognized as the Obsidian Squad, Liden's own group of troopers who had been trained in tactics from across the galaxy. They would be trickier to handle than the usual bucket heads.

Like the trooper brandishing a pair of electro-stun batons who came at Mar with lightning speed. He was trained in Teras Kasi, the legendary martial art devised solely to fighting Jedi, allowing him to move so swift that Mar hit nothing but air with several strikes from his lightsaber. Mar opted to move back and keep his distance from the trooper as he was so fast that Mar knew he wouldn't be able to avoid his strikes for long.

Another trooper started taking potshots at him with a blaster, which only made things worse. He deflected some at the other trooper who seemed to anticipate this and avoided the blasts with a few fluid, dance-like, moves as he drew closer to Mar.

But at that point Mar had had enough. He produced the blaster he had kept on himself from his disguise on Nar Shaddaa and took out the second trooper with a single blast then hurled his lightsaber at incoming Teras Kasi trooper. The trooper avoided the saber, but not the blaster bolt that came shortly thereafter. Mar had hit him in the knee, bringing him down onto the other as the trooper let out a shriek of surprise and pain. Then, calling his saber back to him, Mar cut the trooper's head off in a swift motion.

Mira had taken cover behind some old cargo crates and was taking pot shots at troopers with her blaster rifle. She was a little surprised to find these black stormtroopers were a little harder to take down, but with a few consistent shots they were falling. Still she missed being able to shoot a regular stormtrooper and watching them fall over in a shower of sparks.

Keran was running on all fours, lighstaber in his mouth, weaving between stormtroopers as they desperately tried to shoot him down as he rushed at them.

"Get the rodent!"

"He's got a lightsaber!"

"It's a jedi! Shoot it! Shoot it!"

Only for the troopers to let out screams as Keran cut them down. He would slice at their legs, cutting some of their legs off before he took his saber in hand and began to leap up and hop on their helmets while getting a pair of them to accidentally shoot themselves in the insanity of the moment. Then he hopped onto the chest of the last one and buried his saber into the trooper's chest. Then hopped off and continued to dart across the landing bay.

The Ninth Sister watched the combat unfold, all the while she had spotted the young Jedi she was bonded to, sensed the battle meditation she was attempting to cast. It wouldn't make a difference, with her own influence on the girl's mind and the power of the dark side clouding her judgement she would find it helped her friends little. Then she saw Ripper, her quarry, the one Lady Liden had grown interested in. She would have him, be it willingly or as a mangled pulp she didn't care.

She twirled her lightsaber and advanced on Ripper.
