Almost Ruining A Good Day

As it turned out, the rich kids had gone in the opposite direction of the other group and hadn't seen them yet.

Doug's spies, Claudia and Scarlett, hadn't seen a trace of Melissa or Carter and it was starting to annoy them.

It was worth it, it made them part of Doug's group, which equaled popular. Besides, they believed him, Doug had somehow manipulated them into thinking it was a good thing that he tracked what Mel was doing.

They, along with the other rich kids, arrived at the petting zoo, glancing around, and didn't see Mel or Carter, at least not yet.

The first group to arrive at the zoo had decided to have lunch before moving on to the petting zoo.

This had them arriving there slightly after the rich kids.

Neither Mel nor Carter spotted the rich kids as they all headed towards the gates that led to the petting zoo.

The petting zoo was a large fenced in area with gates to get into that part. Large enough it was easy to not see everyone there. There were stations around the area to buy feed.

The animals were things like Ponies, goats, llamas, donkeys, Alpacas and the like. There was an area for feeding ducks and chickens. And an area for petting and feeding rabbits.

Carter looked around and said to Blossom, "How many of these kinds of animals do you have at home?"

After getting off the bus Carter asked Blossom what she wanted to see first so she looked around and saw the gorillas and pointed at them.

Blossom: How about the gorillas? I hear they are very big and strong. Unless you have a preference?

Blossom was happy to be with Carter and liked having his attention.

Justin was in a good mood as he and Kyle went to look at the gorillas.

Justin: They are such beautiful creatures............till you make them mad by entering their territory or going near their babies. I find it romantic when the big strong guy protects his family. How about you?

Justin looked at Kyle wondering what his answer would be.

Back with Carter and Blossom they were enjoying each other's company. After Carter asked about the petting zoo Blossom smiled as she did like it.

Blossom: I like the rabbits and goats.

After getting off the bus Carter asked Blossom what she wanted to see first so she looked around and saw the gorillas and pointed at them.

Blossom: How about the gorillas? I hear they are very big and strong. Unless you have a preference?

Everyone moved to the petting zoo.

Carter nodded at Blossom, "So, shall we go see the rabbits then?"

Melissa and Jason were wandering around the petting zoo, currently feeding some ducks. When someone caught Mel's attention.

Wasn't that one of Sadie's girls?

Then three.

She spotted some of the group that hung out around Lance and Elena.

Jason saw her face fall, "Is something wrong?"

Melissa didn't say anything but quickly glanced around the area.

Damn They were here. Melissa felt her heart race.

She turned to Jason. "I need to move, some place not so open."

Jason had no idea what was going on but he quickly found a spot and moved Melissa there.

Mel quickly texted Carter.

Mel: Doug's group is here.

Carter's mouth dropped for a moment upon reading the message. He turned to Blossom.

"I need to do something and I know it might be taken the wrong way or not understood, but please trust me, it's important."

Blossom was shocked by Carter's words as he jaw dropped open. She wanted to say something but Carter was in a rush and left her. At this point a million thoughts ran through her head and most of them were not good. She asked herself if he said something wrong? Was there someone else? Was she not pretty enough? Did her breath stink? Then she thought maybe Carter had to go to the bathroom and was embarrassed by it. She would blush if she had the same problem and had to bring it up in front of him. Her mom told her never to talk about girls' stuff and bathroom time in front of guys since it was a bad topic for them to hear. So feeling a bit sad she found a bunny to pet while hoping she was not abandoned.

As Justin and Kyle looked at the gorillas while leaning on the fence they watched the gorillas play on the jungle gym they had. Justin liked to watch them show affection with each other and before he knew it his hand was moving along the rail till it was holding Kyle's hand. Justin smiled at the gorillas as he spoke up.

Justin: I just love how they are to close to each other.

Meanwhile Jack, Roxy and Ashley were at the alligator exhibit as the trainers were feeding them to get the crowd stirred up. Jack was looking at the gators deathroll their raw whole chickens as they snapped down on them with their large mouths. Then his clam was quickly ruined as Ashley and Roxy began to tease him again as they talked about how the gator had a large mouth to be able to swallow all that meat in one gulp. Jack tried to leave but his arms were locked with the arms of both girls who were enjoying seeing Jack squirm. As they continued to tease him they giggled as he squirmed around. When Jack asked them to stop they called him out on what he was referring to as they were talking about the gators. At this point they giggled as they made him blush.

Kyle looked down and smiled as Justin's hand moved into his own. The day was just getting better.

Kyle and Justin moved to the petting zoo. They wandered around checking out the animals for a short time before entering the area with the bunnies.

Kyle looked up, and his gaze focused on Blossom. He turned to Justin.

"Blossom seems to be alone. Let's go over there." It wasn't a question, as something seemed wrong.

Melissa turned to Jason, "I'm sorry that I can't explain what's going on but I need you to just act like you're not with me for a few moments."

Jason didn't understand what was happening, but he moved away just in time for Carter to arrive.

Jason watched what happened next still with some confusion.
