Strategic Sitting

When the girls had first arrived at the table there had been the strategic sitting that took place. Rose and apparently anyone who might sit near Rose figured enough to leave a chair opened for JD. Sam sat on the opposite side of the table with a seat left open for Heath. Dawn and April sat together and a chair was left open opposite them which was where Zander would sit.

Courtney saw almost everyone sit and then had to figure out where to place herself. She knew Matt was on the trip and to be honest, being around him had made being around Sam & Heath at least a little easier and she was grateful they weren't the type of couple that were all over each other. She didn't know where Conner was going to sit but figured it was going to have to do with Jocelyn. So, she sat on the same side as Sam and Heath but a few chairs down. Which put her one chair down from when where JD was sitting. Melissa however had her own issues and she went to the bathroom and came back to see where everyone else was sitting before sitting in an area that had a few empty chairs to either side of her. This was whoever sat by her, sat by her and it wasn't on her.

The guys arrived and Kyle wanted to ask Justin to sit by him and while the boy wasn't shy he also wasn't exactly sure where that stood. So, he just found a seat where there was an empty chair next to him.

JD saw Rose sitting and made his way there to her. The chair next to her was open. He could only hope it was for him. He placed his hand gently on her shoulder while sliding the chair out. "Hi, Hope the shopping was good for you?"

Rose smiled upon seeing JD; pulling out the chair and figuring he understood that the chair was for him. "Yes. It was good. Thanks. How was your shopping?"

Heath sat near Sam and the two talked to each other about their shopping trips. Heath would give Sam her gift later but for now, the two were just happy to see each other again.

Matt noticed Courtney, right away and he took the seat in between her and Sam. Saying hi in general before turning his attention to Courtney. "So, how was it?"

"It was a lot of girls shopping." She joked. Matt knew Courtney well enough to know that wasn't her normal outing but she seemed to have enjoyed herself anyway. Courtney then added. "No, really it was actually, kind of, fun. There was a great book store there." Courtney had noticed Conner come in and sit down; she figured he was waiting to see what Joceyln did but couldn't help but think to herself that she wasn't used to seeing Conner act like that about a girl; it was certainly different.

Zander noticed the guys making beelines for certain places of the table, he spotted Dawn and April and figured that was going to be a pretty common occurrence from now on. He took the seat; he knew Dawan had left for him, across the table from them. He smiled as he said down and asked. "So, did you both find anything to buy?"

"Yes, we both did," Dawn responded, smiling back at her twin. "How about you? Please, tell me you got some help."

Zander nodded but sighed. "Yes, Kyle helped me. Well, with some feedback from Matt and Heath. I should have gotten your ideas before going."

Justin on the other hand took a seat by Kyle.

Justin: I hope you don't mind?

"Not at all." Kyle smiled at Justin and once the other boy had sat down, Kyle spoke up again. "You seemed to the fashion savior of the day back at the surf shop." Well, it was the truth. None of the guys that had gone on the trip had been as knowledgeable about fashion as Justin even if Kyle did hold his own.
